Christmas Eve!

We had such a special Christmas Eve this year! Erik's sister Anna and her husband Adam have been traveling the world for the last 9 months and flew back into San Francisco on Christmas Eve. It was a surprise to the rest of the family so we had to keep it a secret! We suprised the rest of the family on Christmas Day! I made dinner for all of us and then we went to a Christmas Eve service. We went to a church we had never been to before and they had an unbelievable live nativity scene with baby lambs, a baby deer, donkeys and they even had a camel! Ford loved all the animals!!

In my family it's a tradition to give pajamas as a gift and open them up on Christmas Eve, and wear them to bed! Ford is such a sweet boy that even when he opens up clothes as gifts he gets excited!!

Thanks Nana for my Christmas jammies!!

This is the best picture we could get of the 3 of us!!

Getting ready for Christmas!

We moved into our new house in Sonoma on Saturday the 14th of December, so on Sunday the 15th I broke out the Christmas decorations! I couldn' t wait to get our house ready for Christmas because I knew this would be Ford's first year to really get into Christmas! He loved decorating the tree especially puting his ornaments on!

He was working so hard he was losing his britches!!!

We also started a new family tradition of making Christmas cookies! It was a total mess and so were the cookies, but it was so fun and the cookies were delicious. I went all out and made the cookies and icing from scratch! I might not do that next year!

I think we went through all three bottles of sprinkles!!

All finished!

Oh I love this picture! There's nothing sweeter than this little one taking in the magic of Christmas!

I am 28 Months Old!

It feels as though in this past month Ford has grown up so much! He is talking sooo much and has sooo much to say! At the end of the day sometimes we have to play the "lets see how long you can go with out making any noise" game!!! He is a little sponge and learning so much and repeating everything I say (this soon might pose a problem :). He is so funny and is a total ham, and of course he almost always has a captive audience between Erik and me! Here are some facts about Ford at 28 months!
*He is as sweet as he can be! He loves to hug and kiss! He will come up to me on the couch and say "I cuddle Mama!". I could just eat him!
*He is hilarious! Erik and I are always cracking up at him! Once he knows whatever he said was funny he will keep on saying it so we will keep on laughing at him!
*He talks all the time! Some of the funny things he says are "sit chee mama" sit in the chair "wee haw", "ha do-do" helicopter "I'm hummy mama" hungry, ""jewies" are zebras and "elmants" are elephants!
*He loves to say "I go fast mama!" and "watch me!"
*He is so smart and a very quick learner. The other day he brought a toy to me with different shapes on it and said "wook Mama a circle"! I was shocked so I asked him the other shapes and he knew the triangle and square too! He must have seen it on a PBS show because I didn't teach him!
*He is such a sweet friend to other kids. He is always willing to share and never wants anyone to be sad. I pray he will always have a kind heart. He makes me so proud!
*He is a total dare devil and I have to hold my breath a lot when he is jumping off things or balancing on something! Erik encourages it all!
*Erik's new thing with Ford is for him to stand on his hands and then Erik holds him up in the air!
*He has mastered riding his Strider and looks so cute gliding along!
*He loves to color with crayons and markers.
*He is really into Superman and wants to wear a cape and fly around the house.
*He does not like Santa, but hopefully next year!
*He is starting to sing songs like "Jesus Loves Me" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
*He also makes up songs like "Thank you Stars!".
*Sometimes when I am driving he will say "too fast Mama, slow down!"
*He wants to jump off of everything and yells out "watch me I jump!"
*When I tell him I love him he says "I wuv you too!". If I ask him how much he stretches his arms out and says "dis much".
*When we say prayers he always comes up with the sweetest things to pray for! He almost always prays for Annike, Sommer and baby Karsten, but sometimes he throughs in a thank you for Mickey Mouses, or Mater, or cars or cookies!

Here is our big boy at 28 months! We love you so much!

Train Town!

We went to Sonoma this weekend to check out a place to live and also to take Ford to Train Town. It is this super cute amusement park for little kids that has rides, petting zoo and of course a train! Ford loved it all! I think we will be going a lot more once we move!

Ford loves animals and has no fear when it comes to feeding an petting them!

Train Town has an old western town with a jail, chapel and a saloon!

This boy has no fear! Although he looks terrified on this roller coaster he loved it! He was by far the youngest one riding! I am in the car in front of them and hold the my phone over my head to capture these pics! Luckily I held onto on my phone!

Ford and I rode the "Scrambler" and it is just as the name says! We definitely got scrambled and neither one of us were a fan!!

He's on the train about to go through the tunnel!!!

Mr. Personality waving to his fans as he flies by!!
