I am 13 months old!

I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep taking his monthly pictures after he turned one, but I just love looking back and seeing how much he's grown, so I'm going to keep going!!! Ford is just such an unbelievably happy little boy, and we are having so much fun being his mom and dad!!! He is full of personality, very silly, very vocal, very sweet and loving, and very strong willed!!!! Here are some facts about Ford at 13 months!

*He is feeding himself now and still loves to eat!! Fruit is by far his favorite (especially watermelon), but he really likes cheese and yogurt. Meat and vegetables are a little bit more challenging to get him to eat, but he does like green beans!

*He is obsessed with Yogurt Melts!! I have to hid them from him because he will go crazy if he sees them!

*He is only taking one nap a day now and going to sleep all by himself! He did way better transitioning from me rocking him to sleep than I expected!!! I was very proud of him:)

*He is drinking cows milk now, and still using a bottle (I'm not sure either one of us ready to get rid of the bottle:)

*He has 7 teeth, and the 8th is breaking through!

*He is very strong willed and lets you know how he feels about everything!

*He loves to look at books, and for me to read him books!

*He loves music and has some pretty sweet dance moves!

*He loves balls and can already throw them to you!

*He loves to be outside. Riding in the Bob, going to the park or beach or just hanging out in the back yard!

*He isn't walking yet, but he pulls up and walks around holding onto things!

*He is very silly and loves to smile and giggle!

*He loves him Mama and Dada and loves to give us kisses!

*He will come up to me and lay his head on me and give me a huge smile! I could just melt!!

*He knows what a doggie says, a monkey, a bee, a lion and a monster (he came up with that noise himself:)

*He knows where his eyes are, where his hair is, his nose and his belly button. When you ask him where his nose is he sticks his finger up his nose!

*He loves to watch Curious George on PBS!

Some of Ford's favorites!

Ford LOVES books!!! He likes to pull each one out and look at every page! I am always so amazed that he always turns the book around if it's upside down. I have no idea how he knows, but he almost never gets it wrong! I just love to sit back and just watch his little wheels turning as he looks through his books!!

He sometimes sits for 10-15 minutes just pulling out each book and turning the pages taking it all in!

Another one of his favorites is his fire truck! He hasn't learned how to move it himself, so Erik and I sit at either end of his room and push him back and forth. These pictures capture it perfectly!!!

Snacks, snacks and more snacks!!! Ford loves his snacks!!! Yogurt melts are by far his favorite, but he also likes puffs, Cheerios and baby Goldfish!  He has learned how to use his snack trap, and it provides a lot of entertainment for him. This has been great for me too because it makes everything we do much easier with a lot less whining! It's a win win for both of us!

He still loves to take baths!!!

As of late!

After Ford's birthday and having my family in town I've been slacking on updating the blog! So here's what we've been up to as of late (sort of a month in review!).

Stork Baby!

It's never easy to get Ford out of the bath tub, so Erik started playing "stork baby" with Ford and now all we have to do to get him out is say those two little words!!! I love his giggle in this video because it's a cross between having fun and being scared!!!

Fun with my family!

My Mom, Sister, Katy and Jake all came out for Ford's 1st birthday, and we had so much fun! Ford of course loved spending time with his Nana, Aunt Valerie and his cousins. It makes me so sad that we don't get to see them more often, but we made the most of our little time together. We miss them so much!

We went for a hike in Nisene Marks, and Jake, Erik and Cooper decided to walk across a fallen tree!! They were really high up!
