I am 18 months old! Happy Half Birthday!

And just like that half of his second year is over! Erik and I can honestly say that the last 6 months have been pure joy! We have never laughed and smiled more in our lives. This little boy is so special, and we just can't get enough of him! Here are some facts about Ford at 18 months:

*He weighs 25.8 lbs (70th percentile), 34 inches tall (90th percentile), and head circumference 19 3/8 inches (90th percentile)
*He runs everywhere he goes, and rarely ever slows down or stops moving!
*He loves people and loves to make others laugh and smile!
*He rarely has a bad day, and if he does it is almost always teething!
*He is so happy and full of life!
*He is so sweet and so affectionate! He loves to give hugs (and pat you on the back), and big open mouth kisses!
*He is a very good listener, and doesn't get into trouble very often! That being said, I am getting tiny glimmers of the "terrible twos" from this strong willed little boy!
*He and I go down to the beach almost every morning (unless it's raining), and he loves it! He rides in the Bob without compliant while I run for a half hour, and then we play in the sand!
*He is always talking and I don't know what he's saying most of the time!
*He has always done sign language, but I have recently been trying to get him to say "please", and instead of saying it he just came up with his own sign for please! He's a smart kid!
*He knows where all his body parts are and when we ask him "Where are your boogies?" he sticks his finger up his nose!
*He has most of his animal noises down (especially animals that growl), but if he doesn't know the answer to an animal noise question he just says "go go go"! I don't know where he comes up with this stuff!
*He holds his hands up and says "hap?" all the time!
*He pretends to talk on the phone all the time!
*At night when I try to rock him a little before I put him down he says "up" because he wants me to just put him in his bed!
*He crys when Erik leaves for work, and when Erik gets home Ford is so excited! He loves his Dada!
*He still loves to watch Curious George on my iPad, but he also loves to cuddle with me while watching, so he probably does it more often than he should!

Here is our sweet boy at 18 months! Happy Half Birthday Ford we love so much!

Loving Lambie!

The classic "hap?"

Love this one!

While I know it appears that Ford sits like a perfect angel giving me the perfect smile for these monthly pictures, in reality it plays out a little more like this........

By FAR my favorite!

.........and we're back and exhausted (:

Enjoying the weather!

We have been having beautiful weather around here for last week, and I think that we have been to the beach for the last 7 days straight! We love were we live!

Coop soaking it up!

I love that his feet aren't touching the ground as he's charging towards the water! He is fearless at the beach! Makes me very nervous!

I love this one!

Oh, so that how you do it! He has such a great Dada!

Just a day at the park!

Today was a beautiful day so we headed to the park and I brought along my camera! Ford loves to be outside and I love to take his picture so it was a good day for both of us! Ford is such a happy boy and is at his happiest when he is outside, and maybe even a bit happier if being outside includes swinging!

Oh how I love this sweet face and those blue eyes (which by the way are not photoshopped)! It must have been the blue sky and blue sweater because they were extra blue today!

He is signing "more" in this picture, and probably thinking put the camera down mom and push me higher!

Pure joy!

He's a climber! He fell off this tree stump moments after this, but he's a tough kid!

He was watching some big kids play at the park!

He can climb up the stairs to the slide, and slide down by himself now!

iPhone pics

Ford and I spend a ton of time outside during the week, and while I usually don't have my camera I try to use my phone to capture some everyday moments! We live in such a beautiful place and I feel so lucky that I get to stay home with Ford and soak up some sun and fresh air too!

One of the very few times Ford has fallen asleep in the stroller while I am running! This was the week after we got home from Texas, and everyday that week he either feel asleep in the car or the stroller! Poor baby was worn out!

This little boy loves to climb and explore! In the winter the storms wash in lots of trees and sticks which make exploring lots of fun!

He loves to hug his mama and I will take it all day long!

This was Christmas Eve at church. He looked so big in his plaid flannel!

This picture is pure Ford! Carrying a big stick and making so really tough boy noise! I love that he is all boy!

Erik took the week after Christmas off for a "staycation", and we were so happy to have Dada join us on our outdoor adventures!

We deal with a lot of diaper rash in this house which means we go "nakies" quite often! It doesn't ever seem to slow him down though!

This was in Tahoe at Erik's parents cabin! I love how good his form is (:

It was so cold this day at the beach!

I always trying to come up with fun boy stuff to do with Ford, so on this day we built a stick fort! I think he was impressed!

One day the state parks where doing some construction down at the beach and there was a tractor parked in the parking lot! Ford was in heaven! He loves tractors so much and even has a special tractor noise that he makes!

Love his smile and dimple!

We got lucky and it was there the next day too!

Here he is infront of a 1932 Ford Roadster! He loves cars and somehow knew this one was extra special! I kept trying to get him to leave and he just kept saying "a caaaaar"!

More beach time!

Such a happy boy! Even when it's cold we still make it to the beach!

I think there's some rule about running with sticks (:

I'm sure you are seeing a pattern here........the boy loves sticks!

Erik called this pic the "blue steel" look!

Right after I took this pic he stuck that nasty piece of bark in his mouth! We are still not past the phase of sticking gross stuff in our mouth!

He loves to smell flowers, although I'm pretty sure this was a weed!
