Father's Day and Anniversary Party!

We spent last weekend in Sacramento celebrating Father's Day and Erik's parents 40th wedding anniversary! We had so much fun at their new house especially in their pool! It was a super warm weekend (108 degrees!!), but we managed to get everyone together and smiling for a family picture!

I love these two more than life!!! Ford is the luckiest little boy to have a daddy like Erik! Nothing has ever brought me more joy then seeing how much these two love each other.

Ford had some fun play dates last week with his buddies Nate Bentley and Sommer Negard! Erik was out of town on business all last week, so I made sure our week was busy so it would go by fast!

I love this picture! These two are all boy and couple of bruisers!

It was so fun to watch Ford and Sommer because they actually played together!!! Ashley and I both commented on how well they played together!!! They are growing up so fast it's hard to believe! I think these two are going to be great friends!!!

Pool Time!!!

Ford loves the water so much, so I bought him a little dinky $10 pool the other day! It's been well worth the $10 he loves it!!! The first time I put him in I thought I don't need to waste a swim diaper I will just put him in naked. He played for about 20 minutes, and then he got that look and I heard that grunt that I know all too well. Sure enough on his pool's maiden voyage he pooped in it!!! Oh well  it's a one man pool, and he has a great Daddy that will fish out his terds, and wash out his pool!!!

Little Mover!

I am happy to report that Ford is now crawling, and I am also very happy that I don't have to hear "Is he crawling yet? Really, how old is he?" anymore!!! Every baby develops at their own pace, and Ford felt 10 months was the perfect time to start crawling, and I agree!!! We have had 10 months of not having to worry about what he is getting into, if he's going to fall and bump his head or dirty hands and knees! He loves that he can get around now, and is working on mastering the skill of crawling! He actually first crawled on May 27th, but this video is after about a week of crawling. He is so proud of himself and so are we! Way to go Ford we knew you could do it!

Silly Little Boy!!

Ford is such a little wild man and loves to laugh!!! Today I was mimicking him saying "Dada" and shaking my head like he was, and he thought it was hilarious! I will never get tired of hearing these sweet giggles!!!



I am 10 months old!

Ford is 10 months old and full of spunk, wiggles and personality! He just keeps getting cuter, wilder and louder!!! He is such a happy boy and we are having so much fun being his Mom and Dad!!! It is truly amazing how much we love him, and just when we think we couldn't love him anymore he captures our hearts and we fall more in love! We are so proud of you Ford and feel so lucky that God choose us to be your parents! Here are some facts about Ford at 10 months.

*He is finally crawling!! He is still working on perfecting it, but he's getting around! He still is not a fan of crawling, but he will do it if he wants to get to something.

*If we really want him to crawl all we have to do is put our iPhone in front of him and he will crawl.

*He thinks he can walk and tries to push our hands away when we are helping him walk.

*He is such a happy boy! He loves to smile and laugh! People are always commenting on how happy and friendly he is.

*He is very charming always trying to get peoples attention, and then giving them a huge smile!

*He has no stranger anxiety and will let anyone hold him!

*He is wild, wild wild!!! Always into something, grabbing something or throwing something!

*He is never sitting still and I am having more and more trouble taking his monthly pictures.

*He is also very sweet! He loves to give kisses (very open mouth and wet kisses), and loves to be held and snuggled tight!

*He hardly ever cries and is very tough!

*He now has two teeth!

*He is very independent, but just recently he cries when I walk out of the room.

*He loves to read books with me before he goes to bed. He is actually still and lets me read to him. He has his favorites and only wants to read those. If I try to read a new book he just closes the book!

*His favorite books are "The Going to Bed Book", "Where is Baby's Belly Button?", and "Baby's First Touchy Feely Book".

*He is loud and very vocal! He can say Mama and Dada when he wants Erik or I, Fafa (Ford), Baba (bottle). He also says Papa, Kaka, Nana and Gaga, but not sure any of those mean anything just yet!

*Every picture he sees he says "Dada" no matter whose in the picture because I always show him pictures of Erik and say "Dada".

*He loves to eat and is starting to feed himself. He is trying to pick food up with his thumb and index finger, but still working on mastering that skill.

*He is still a good sleeper. He sleeps from 7pm-6am and takes two 1 1/2 hour naps.

*He loves swimming!

*He loves music and loves to dance!

*He loves his piano that he can stand up and play.

*He loves Cooper, and when we ask him "Where's Cooper?" he looks around for him and gets a huge smile on his face when he sees him.

The only way I could get him to stay in the chair was to give him my phone!
