Back home in Aptos!

For Erik's 40th birthday we rented a house right on the beach in Aptos. It was such a fun trip getting to see all our old friends, and being just steps from the ocean!

Angel Island adventure!

We took the ferry over to Angel Island with the Boehm's for a bike riding adventure!

I can ride a bike!

Ford has been able to ride his Strider since he was two and half, but today he did it! He rode his big boy bike all by himself! We took him to the track and kind of had to make him do it, but once he started going we couldn't stop him! Not even four years old and riding a bike all by him self! Erik and I were beyond proud, and we both even cried a little! We are so proud of you Ford!

Here he is just cruising around our neighborhood!

On a Safari

Santa Rosa has a really cool Safari reserve, and Erik's company was having a meeting there so we joined in on the fun! Ford was in heaven, and I thought it was pretty amazing too! They have what they call "glamping" accommodations that are really nice tents with indoor bathrooms. It was a lot of fun spending the night, but definitely a little noisey!!

Feeding the giraffes was probably the coolest thing we did! They are such gentle and sweet animals!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Sonoma has an Easter Egg Hunt every year at the Plaza, and Ford loves to race after the eggs! We even ran into our little friend Frankie to help out with the hunt!

He still talks about how that bunny patted him on the head!

We're having a baby!!!

For a year or so my heart has felt that our family was not complete with just one kid! I just knew that God had one more baby planned for us. We had been trying for a few months with no luck, and just like with Ford once I quit worrying about it so much I got pregnant! The crazy thing is that I actually took two pregnancy test before this one because that was when I thought I would be pregnant, and they were both negative. I started to worry that maybe something was wrong because I was almost 3 weeks late, and getting negative tests. I even made an appointment with my doctor to discuss possible fertility issues. Today I was at the grocery store, and all of the sudden something just came over me, and I thought to myself oh my goodness I am pregnant!!!  I went straight to the aisle with the pregnancy test and went straight home without even unloading the groceries! Before I even finished peeing on the stick I could see the plus sign! Even though somehow I knew it I still couldn't believe it! I called Erik and he didn't answer, so I just texted him this picture and he immediately called me back! We are so excited and can't wait to meet this sweet baby!
