Halloween 2013

Holidays are getting to be so much fun because Ford is finally old enough to really participate! This year he was a fire man (shocking, I know!), and could not wait to go trick-or-treating (even though he had no idea what that meant!). We set out on Halloween night and Ford was a bit uncertain, but by the 3rd  house he was ringing the doorbell, saying trick-or-treat, grabbing a fist full of candy, and then saying "Thanks, see you soon!". Several times after he said trick-or-treat he would just walk right into the people's houses! Erik and I laughed so hard watching him, and I think that we might of had more fun than Ford! That little boy keeps us laughing with all that personality! On Friday morning when I went to get him out of bed, he said "I go trick-or-treat again?!?".

We carved our pumkins waaaay too early this year and ended up having to throw them out, but it was still a fun memory!

I am 27 months old!

I find myself thinking "I can't believe how much I love this little boy" pretty much everyday! Ford is such a sweet little boy and is almost always so good! Knock on wood we really haven't had much of the "terrible two's", but I am sure that could change! He definitely has his moments, but they are rare  and usually don't last long! He really is such a joy to be around I don't know how I will ever send him off to school! Here are some facts about Ford at 27 months!

*He talks all the time and knows so many words! If he doesn't know the name of something he just makes it up!
*Here are some funny words he uses:
Up-mess: Mickey Mouse
Up-fly: Butterfly
Saw-saur: Dinosaur
Jewey: Zebra
Popdo: Popcicle
Dada ahhh: tractor
Peace car: Police car
Sue-shwee: Sommer
Kiki: Kinsey (our neighbor)
Kaka: McKenna (our neighbor)
aaa-ence: ambulance
*He has an unbelievable memory! He remembers things all the time that totally blow me away!
*He is still obsessed with all things truck and tractor! He loves to point out all the trucks, police cars, fire trucks and ambulances on the road and say "wook Mama, peace car!"
*Monday's are probably his favorite day because that's trash day, and he gets to see garbage trucks! When he hears them he runs to the windows yelling "hurry hurry I see ga-bage truck, Mama!"
*He loves his trucks so much that he has to have a least 4 of them in his bed for nap time and at night! I have to sneak in once he's asleep and get them out of his bed so he doesn't roll over onto a dump truck! If I would let him he would fill his entire bed with trucks!
*He knows all his colors including brown, black, pink, purple and gray!
*He loves baby goats and wants to watch YouTube videos of them!
*He can count to 10, but usually leaves out the number 7!
*We are working on his ABC's and he is getting close! At the end he just sings "I know, I know, I know"!
*He still loves to watch Curious George on TV. He says "I watch Ha, Mama!".
*He loves to say "Georgio" with an Italian accent like Chef Pescetti Does on Curious George!
*He has finally started to take interest in riding his Strider bike and getting really good!
*I always tell him he is precious and he says " I presh!"
*We started taking classes at My Gym this month, and he loves it! His favorite part is playing in the ball pit!
*When he wants me to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to him he says "Tinko Tinko, Mama!"
*He loves to do puzzles and when he finishes them he starts screaming "I did it, I did it!"
*He is so sweet to other little kids and always shares his toys, and never tries to take toys away from other kids!
*He loves to draw and color with crayons and markers. He prefers to use markers! How do kids know that markers are better??
*He loves to look on the fridge at his art work and yell "I draw that, I draw that!"

Here is our little Ford at 27 months! I just don't think I could love him anymore!

A weekend back home!

We spent last weekend back home in Aptos and had so much fun. The Negards kindly opened up their home to us to stay the weekend! Ford LOVES Annike and Sommer so much, and getting to spend the whole weekend with them was a blast! Almost every night when we ask Ford who he wants to pray for his response is "Anka and Sue-shwee!". Whenever I ask  him who he loves he always says "I nove Sue-shwee!". It was also a very special weekend because we finally got to meet the newest member of the Negard Family, Karsten Paul!! He is the sweetest most content little baby, and Ford loved getting to hold him and peek into his crib when he was sleeping! We left Cooper with our old neighbors Mike and Bethe, which meant we had to drive by our old house. It was definitely weird, but it didn't feel like it was ours anymore. It was such a great weekend getting to catch up with not only the Negards, but the Griffiths and Bjornstads too. We were so sad to leave, and really miss our old life in Aptos. Here are some pics form the weekend!

We didn't get one picture with all the kids smiling. Annike and Sommer were actually smiling in the majority of them, but this is the only one that Ford was making a normal face!

Giving Karsten a hug! He loves babies so much it is so sweet to watch!

I got to do a little mini photo shoot with Baby K!

We went to a harvest festival just down the road from were the Negards live, unfortunately we got the time wrong and showed up 4 hours early, but the kids didn't mind they still had a great time!

Feeding the goats!

The hills of Corralitos! So beautiful!

He can spot a tractor from a mile away!

Love this little face!

The cutest Dalmatian I know!

Oh, it doesn't get much cuter than Sommer!!

Oh, how he loves baby goats!

Someone else does too!
