Punky's Adobe Pumpkin Farm

We took Ford to a real pumpkin farm this weekend and we had a blast! I told Erik I wanted to go to a a farm and not just a side of the highway pumpkin patch. This farm had it all and Ford loved every minute of it! He was just running all of the farm exploring all it had to offer! We made some fun memories!

Of course the tractors, aka "Dada ahhhh's" said with a lot of grit, where a hit! Both my boys in plaid!

I love his little smile in this picture!

This little man is so brave!

Hi Mom!!

These are totally out of focus, but they totally crack me up! He loved it despite the look on his face!

Oh how I love this smile!

Wine country pumpkin patch!

I really wasn't sure how the pony ride was going to go, and in this moment neither did Ford, but he was such a brave boy and loved it!

He's so proud of himself here!

Mr. Personality chatting it up with the pony lady!

Ford is really into baby goats right now (I have no idea where he comes up with this stuff), so the petting zoo was a hit! Erik and I weren't sure if these were goats or sheep, but we called them baby goats anyway!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

He loved the hay ride because it was pulled by a tractor!

We picked out some good pumpkins!

He took picking out pumpkins very seriously!

Love this one!

I am 26 months old!

Our first month in a new town is under our belt, and our sweet boy is a month older! He has been our bright shinning light during all of this change, and taught us so much about what really matters in our little life. While Erik and I mourned our beautiful home Ford carried on with the same joy for life and didn't miss one smile or giggle. His sweet innocence convicted both of our hearts and set us straight on where true happiness comes from....it comes from us being together! Thanks you sweet Ford you teach your Mama and Dada more than you know! Here are some facts about Ford at 26 months old!

*He loves kids! Our neighborhood is full of kids (mostly all girls), and he runs out the front door yelling "Kiiiiids"!
*He has such a sweet nature about him, and is so kind to others. He is great at sharing and never wants other kids to cry or be sad!
*He knows all of his colors! All the primary colors and also pink, purple, black, white and gray! He learned it by looking at trucks driving on the road.
*One of my favorite words he says is yellow pronounced "yea-yo"! Some of my other favorite words are "a-popdoo" popcicle, "up-mess" Mikey Mouse, "up fly" butterfly!
*He is still totally obsessed with trucks and knows all the different kinds. Currently the garbage truck is his favorite!
*He loves going to the park and asks me almost everyday if we can go!
*He has an amazing memory and continually shocks me with the things he remembers!
*He is working on his ABC's and counting to 10!
*He has become an even bigger mama's boy!

Here is our sweet Ford at 26 months! You fill up our hearts!

Bay Area Discovery Museum

An old friend of mine from growing up just moved to the East Bay from Texas and we met in the middle in Sausalito at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Krista has two little girls Conley and Evie! We had so much fun at the museum and Ford got to experience all sorts of new things!!

The museum is just on the other side of the Golden Gate and it has a beautiful view!

It didn't take him long to find the trucks!

They had these really cool ramps to drive the cars up and down!

They had a boat that you could drive an it rocked back and forth. He loved it!

His favorite part was the train room! They had huge train tables with tons of trains,  train tracks and tunnels!

He loved the painting center and was very serious about his painting!

Here he is with Conley!

Our new beach!

We made our first trip to Bodega Bay this past weekend! It was about a 45 minute drive which is a bit longer than what we are use to, but we will get use to it! The beach was really pretty and we had a great day! Ford loved it and didn't even notice it wasn't our old beach!

We couldn't let Coop off the leash at this beach, so he was a little bummed! We are going to find a dog friendly beach to go to next time!

Erik and Ford flew a kite for the first time! Ford loved it, but I think that Erik had more fun than Ford!

I am 25 months old!

Well I am not doing the "Ford" chair with lambie anymore I still want to capture what's happening in his life each month! I feel like he has grown up so much this past month, and it makes me a little sad! So here are some facts about Ford at 25 months:

*He is as sweet as ever! He is so loving and always wants to be holding hands, cuddling, hugging and kissing! He has such a sensitive little heart and already has such a kindness about him!
*He loves other kids and now that we live in a neighborhood with lots of kids he runs out the front door yelling "kiiiiiiddddssss!!!".
*He has learned how to apologize when he does something wrong and really shows remorse!
*He is still obsessed with trucks and now he's learning the all the different kinds of trucks!
*He is starting to learn how to count, but we have some work to do!
*He is a total mama's boy and I love it!
*He has started to go pee pee on his potty! The first time he did it was 9/3/13
*He is as wild and loud as ever!
*He has gained so many words over the last month, but there are still a lot of times I have no idea what he is saying!
*He is always climbing on top of everything!
*He still calls Cooper "Ha" and jumping "otts"!
*He is not afraid of anything! Erik is always throwing him in the air swinging him by his legs and I've never seen any fear in him!
*He loves to play the harmonica and every time he makes a sound he yells "yaaaayyy!!!"

Here are pics of our sweet boy in his 25th month! We love you so much Nuggie!!

I saw this on the baby monitor while he was napping, and I had to sneak in and take a pic! He must of fallen asleep mid-sentence!!

Moving

I don't think I am ready to write on this post because it still feels very raw, but I will do my best. Even though I had plenty of time to prepare for this move I was in total denial until the day of the move. Seeing all the rooms empty with none of our things filling the walls and rooms it hit me like a punch in the stomach. I felt some much emotional attachment to the work we put into this house the hours, weeks and months spent planning and remodeling. The toughest part to swallow was that this was the home we brought our sweet baby boy home to. I spent months planning and decorating his room so it would be just perfect for him, and it was. He loved his room so much and always wanted to be in it playing. We waited to pack Ford's room last for practical reasons, but also for emotional reasons. The night before we moved Erik came out of his room carrying a wooden clothes pin that hung on his wall with his monogrammed quilt, and I couldn't hold back the tears. I can vividly remember picking that out and loving it so much. All the memories of hours I spent in his room rocking him, comforting him, loving him, worrying about him, praying for him and eventually praying with him flooded me. The walls in our home never went a day without hearing laughter and feeling the deep love of my family. When it came down to it though,  they were JUST walls. WE had made the memories and WE had made it a home.  The three of us had created this life in this home. They were just walls and we were the memories. That truth is so real for me, but I still find myself missing those walls because we  made them our own with our own two hands. Even now I struggle to hold back the tears, but I am clinging to that truth and know this home will always hold a special place in our heart.

When my car was packed to the brim  Ford, Cooper and I left before the movers and Erik, and I snapped these few pictures of the shell of our home. It was very surreal and emotional. I couldn't bring myself to look in Ford's room so I  just walked by without looking or taking a picture. We will always love and cherish our time at 220 Huntington Ct.
