Happy Hollow

We had to be out of the house for most of the day for an open house, so we took Ford to Happy Hollow in San Jose. It's a really sweet amusement park for little kids with a zoo, petting zoo, rides and giant slides! Ford loved every minute of it! I forgot my camera, but I captured most of it on my phone!

This little boy has such a great Dada!

Well he didn't love all of the park.....he was not into the goats and was a little afraid. I really can't blame him either! Goats have super crazy looking eyes and these were a bit aggressive!

These goats get feed all day long so they come after you if you have food!

He liked the caged animals much more especially the cow. One of his favorite animals!

This picture does this slide no justice! It was huge and I was a little worried Ford would be scared, but as usual I underestimated him and he proved me wrong!

All smiles!

Maybe it's beeing a first time mom, but I worried on every ride that Ford would be scared or not like it, but I was wrong everytime. He had to ride these cars by himself and we had to wait outside the gate, and I thought that he would freak out once it started going around and he couldn't get to us, but again  I was wrong he loved it and even made the fire truck siren noises as he passed by us!

The bug ride was a little boring for him!

He chose the Elephant "La La" on the carousel!

So this is a terrible picture, but I had to include it because I seriously CAN'T believe Ford rode this roller coaster twice! If you look closely behind the blur on the left you will see Ford and I. I have a death grip on him and he is loving it! The reason why Erik didn't get us in the pic is because the ride was so fast! The first hill was much bigger and for a 2 year old it was a scary roller coaster! Erik took him the first time and I thought it was a terrible idea and just knew that Ford would be balling crying when it was over, but instead he loved it and wanted to go again!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July at The La Selva Beach Parade with our good friends the Bjornstad's! Robyn, Josh and the triplets were actually a part of the parade so we got to cheer them on when the passed!

Ford was very serious the whole time, which is very out of character for him, but as soon as the fire truck passed by he was all smiles!

The trips Griffin, Hudson and Landon!

The Bjornstad's were a part of the Multiples of Santa Cruz. They were the only set of triplets!

So serious!

After the parade they had a "Diaper Derby" race for crawlers and then for walkers! Hudson (the one in the hat and in the lead) won! He beat out his brothers and a few other crawlers!

The winner Hudson with his proud Dada!

Ford came in  a close second! He had the lead, but pulled up at the last second! We were still proud!

Super Ford!

Ford has discovered wearing a cape and flying through the house with the wind under his cape! His beloved "nah" serves as his super hero cape and he even makes the flying sound effect while soaring around!!! Here are some action shots!

whoops!

I am 23 months old! Let the count down to 2 begin!!

Oh the monthly pictures........the good news for me is I only have to do it on more time! I said I would do it until he is 2. I will still take a ton of pictures of him, but the sitting in the chair with lamb is coming to a close! I really can't believe I almost have a 2 year old! Here are some facts about for at 23 months!

*The "terrible 2's" came a month earlier at our house! It seems like we are battling Ford on almost everything lately! He is still such a sweet and happy boy, but he has definitely figured out how to push the limits! He is definitely a little stinker!
*He has a really good memory and surprises me all the time with how well he remembers things!
*He is still so sweet and loves to kiss and hug Erik and me.
*He is so friendly! He is always saying "Hi" or "Bye bye" and blowing kisses!
*He is super wild and into everything!
*He is a speedy little runner and runs on his tippy toes!
*He has discovered shadows, but hasn't discovered it's him (:
*He played in the rain for the first time the other day and loved it!
*He is talking a ton! I am usually the translator, but his vocabulary has just exploded in the past few weeks!
*He is finally repeating what we tell him to say. For so long we would tell him to say something and he would just stare at us!
*He still won't say Ford!
*He is putting together 3 and 4 word sentences! He loves to say "Mama try bubbles/fall/truck.....he loves for me to "try" everything!
*He loves to tell us "I cry" in a really sad voice!
*He's really into fake falling and saying "I do fall"!
*He is trying to count things now, but usually he just says "two, nine, two"! I think 2 and 9 are just his favorite numbers!
*He still calls his blankie his "nah" and his George "ha", but now he is also calling Cooper "Ha"! I have no idea????
* He talks about trucks all the time! We sometimes joke that every 7th word out of his mouth is truck!
*He has recently gotten into Thomas the Train and calls him Tom!
*Eating is still a constant battle and at times is worse than ever! I seriously don't know how he keeps weight on!
*He did 8 sessions of swim lessons this past month and he did really well. I wouldn't say that he loved it, but he did have fun!
*He loves to be around other kids, and is really sweet and gentle when he plays.
*He tells us every time he goes "poo poo", but I still don't think he's ready for potty training (and neither am I :)
*He still is obsessed with bugs and thinks every speck of dirt is a "buck"!

Here is our sweet boy at 23 months! We don't know how it's possible, but we keep falling more and more in love with you!

Hmmmmm....I wonder what they are going to get me for my birthday???

Some outtakes........He is such a mess!

I love that little dimple!
