Summer fun!!

We have had amazing weather almost all year, but the past few months have been great!! Ford loves to be outside and loves our new back yard so we have been taking full advantage of the weather and yard! We hooked up an old sprinkler and had so good old fashion back yard fun!!!

Drinking from a hose and old sprinkler is ok, right??

Of course Coop had to get in on the action!

I love this one!

Our neighbors Granddaughter, Cleo, was in town from Portland so we had some fun play dates! She is 2 months older than Ford, and when she left she laid a huge kiss on Ford and he started jumping up and down and yelling with excitement! It was like he had been waiting his whole (22 months) life for  a kiss! It was hilarious, but I am not ready for anymore kisses for my boy!

We bought Ford a T-Ball set and he took right to it!!

Look at that smile!

After using the bat as a horn....

and holding it upside down...

He got the hang of it and made contact!

Such a big boy! Erik and I were so proud of him!!!

Such a handsome boy!!

Check out that form!!! I see a future baseball player!!!

A VERY unwelcome guest!

We have a gopher snake that keeps showing up on our back porch and almost sending me into full cardiac arrest! I went to get Ford's shoes off the back porch a few days ago and I reached down and he was right there all coiled up! It sends chills up my spine just thinking about it!  Erik has taken it back up into the woods three times now, and it keeps coming back! Ford is very interested and that terrifies me. Here he is saying "Hi ssssssssss"!

Oh I do not like snakes!

Mother's Day Weekend!

I am truly such a lucky Mama that I get to stay home with Ford and be a part of this special little boy's everyday! I am so lucky God picked me to be Ford's mom. He is truly such a joy to be around  and my days are full of smiles and laughs and trucks and tractors and skinned knees and sandy shoes and bugs and poopy diapers and snotty noses wiped on my pants, but I wouldn't have it any other way. For as long as I can remember I wanted a baby of my own I wanted to be a mother. I always knew it would be amazing and I would love my child, but I had no idea of the immense and ever growing love I would have for Ford. God saves this special piece of your heart for your children and at times it feels so full you feel like your heart could explode. It is pure and sweet and the closest thing to unconditional love. Being a Mom and feeling this unbelievable love has given me just a glimmer of the love that God has for us, his children, and that to me is mind blowing! Even though I carried this little human for nine months and felt the crazy pain of labor and delivery, I still look at him and wonder where did you come from? It is just such a supernatural miracle that even as a mom it hard to believe. Erik and I are always saying to each other can you believe how much we love him? The answer is always no because I can't, I can't believe have much a love this little person. I love that Erik and I have this one thing in common, our love for Ford, that never gets old for either one of us. Thank you Ford for letting be your Mama!!!

We had a weekend full of adventures spending time a family! We took a bike ride on Saturday and took Ford down to the river to do a little exploring. He loves to be in the woods walking in creeks, throwing rocks and climbing hills!

He wants to do whatever his Dada is doing. So sweet!

We went to church on Sunday and then had a picnic at the beach! Not the best picture (what happens when I'm not behind the camera :), even so me and my baby boy on Mother's Day!

Ford found a little friend at the beach!

I am 21 Months Old!

Our sweet, silly, wild little man is 21 months old!! I say it every month, but it just keeps getting more and more fun! He is sooooo out going and soooo funny! He keeps his Dada and me always laughing! While he is loud and wild, he has such a sweet lovable side too that just melts my heart! Here are some facts about Ford at 21 months:

*He is almost always happy and smiling! He is full of giggles and belly laughs! He loves to make us laugh too! He is rarely serious and always silly!!
*He is such a loving little boy and loves to kiss and hug me! He will run across the room yelling "Mama" and grab my face and lay a huge kiss on me!
*He is a Mama's boy and thinks I am very funny (see pics below :)
*When he sees my camera he say "tease" instead of cheese!
*He pretty much always has a least one skinned knee, and loves to show us his "boo boo's"!
*He is ALWAYS talking talking talking!!! His words have taken off in the last few weeks, but a lot of the time he is speaking his own little language!
*The one word he refuses to say is Ford! If you ask him to say it he just stares at you and if you show a picture of him and ask who that is he just points to himself!
*The one word he loves to say even if he means yes is NO!!!
*He is very animated when he talks too!
*He says "uh-oh" all the time and sometimes he says "uh-oh dee"!
*He's kind of obsessed with bugs or what he thinks are bugs! Anything he finds on the floor is a "buck" and he has to bring it to me!
*After his bath he runs around like a wild indian naked and yells "fawhy fawhy" (Fly) so Erik will throw him in the air or on the couch!
*He is super active running everywhere he goes! He is super fast and runs on his tippy toes! We call him "tippy"!!!
*He is very outgoing and loves to say "hi" to everyone!! He's very charming and already flirts with girls!!
*He loves firetrucks (really any kind of truck, car, bus, train or bike) especially the one in his pictures! He loves to make siren noises too!
*He has recently become very attached to his little Curious George stuffed monkey and has to have it and his blankie that he calls his "nah nah" (aka night night) when he goes to sleep!
*He got all four of his K9's this month which was not fun for anyone, but at least we are done with teething!!!
*He discovered that he loves ice cream!!!
*He LOVES Lighting McQueen and the movie Cars!!!
*Curious George is still his favorite thing to watch on the iPad.
*He still loves books and loves for me to read to him! We read books every night before bed!
*He just recently got into Thomas the Train!
*He is very imaginative and always talking to his toys and making stuff up! He likes to say "Go go buzza buzza buzza" and when he says the "buzza" part he does his arms like chicken wings! Then he screams "Mama" and wants me to do it and then "Dada" and wants Erik to do it!
*He loves to pretend that he's talking on the phone with lots of facial expressions and hand gesters!
*He still hardly eats anything and after having about 4 bites of food he starts yelling "da da da" which means he wants a cookie! I have no idea???? He will do anything to get out of eating!
*He pretty much only eats grapes, watermelon and crackers consistently! Other fruits, meat and vegetables are hit or miss! I try every night to put something new on his high chair usually without success!
*He is trying so hard to learn how to jump! When he tries he yells out "otts"! We have no idea where he comes up with this stuff!
*He's really into saying bye bye to people and things, but instead of saying bye bye mama or dada, he says "ma ma  mama" and "da da dada" or " we we wewe" with the right inflection!!!
*He loves little kids and calls them "bay bee's"
*He is very independent and is great at entertaining himself!
*he has started to tell us when he goes "poo poo" which a step in the right direction for potty training!

Here is our super silly and full of giggles little boy! You have shown us a love unlike anything we have ever know!

Oh this smile.......How I could I ever ger mad him!

I was extra funny this day!

His beloved firetruck!!!

I love that when he laughs really hard he gets tears in his eyes!!

True Happiness (:

Beach fun with friends!

We spent a beautiful afternoon at the beach with some of our favorite friends The Jackson's! Ford LOVES Ella and Brian, and to make it even better I love hanging out with their Mama!! Dawn has become my running buddy (even though she's a way better runner than me), and the kids love to hang out at the beach afterwards!

When I look at this picture I can't even believe what a little man he has become!

Always silly!

and sometimes serious!

Ford loves Ella and she always takes good care of him!

Brian is all boy just like Ford always is sweet to Ford!

I pretty sure seconds after this picture Ford totally ate it and took a wave to the face! Surprisingly he didn't cry and went right back out!!!

She is such a cutie!

It's hard to believe, but Brian is over a year older than Ford! Ford is a tall kid!

These two had a blast together!
