All ready for Christmas!

The stockings are hung and the tree is decorated! We are ready! This will be our very first Christmas at home as a family of 3! I am so excited even though Ford has no idea what all this is for!

Ford's Fort

Ford got this truck tent for his birthday, but Erik recently turned it into his "fort" and he loves it! He takes all his favorite toys and of course his favorite truck book, and hangs out inside! He also loves to watch Curious George on the iPad while in his fort! Just for the record my child does not constantly watch shows on the iPad although my most recent posts might elude to that (:

I love how he sits with is legs under him!

iPhone pics

I downloaded all my iPhone pics and here are a few of my favorites!

Watching Curious George with Dada!

He can't get enough of Curious George on the iPad! I am always shocked how long he will sit still!

Fall is the absolute best time for sunsets around here! We caught this beautiful one and we had a warm night too!

Melt my heart!

Ford does not care about being cold or cold water! He wants his clothes off and in the water as soon as we get to the beach!

Our typical weekday morning is usually a run along the water with Ford in the Bob, and then I let Ford run around the beach! He loves to run in the sad, and I make sure we are far from the water otherwise I would have one wet baby!

He's already practicing yoga on the beach!

What no mother wants to see in her rearview mirror especially right before nap time!

I am 16 months old!

Our sweet boy is 16 months old, and while these monthly photo ops are getting more and more challenging, I am doing my best to keep them up!!! I keep saying that I am going to do an "outtakes" post of what these monthly photo shoots really look like! Here are some facts about Ford at 16 months:

*He is full of life and personality! He loves people and loves to give out smiles!
*He is an extremely happy little boy we have lots of giggles, squeals and smiles in our house!
*He is such an obedient little boy. I am truly shocked at how well he minds me and listens to me (let's hope he keeps this up in the terrible 2's)
*He walks up to things he's not supposed touch and says "no no!"
*He is obsessed with trucks, cars and tractors and has all the noises that go with them. When we are driving in the car he is always looking for trucks and making truck noises!
*He loves books and especially if the books are about trucks!
*He loves to climb on anything, and has just recently figured out how to climb up on the couch. It's only a matter of time before he falls off the couch!
*He loves anything with buttons and loves to push them!
*He is also obsessed with watching Curious George on my iPad! While I try to limit his TV watching, it does allow for me to get things done while he is occupied!
*He loves for me to hide from him and then jump out and scare him!
*He likes to pretend he's talking on the phone and has a certain "phone voice" that he always uses!
*He also likes to pretend to be eating and then feed you his pretend food!
*He is talking a ton, but I have no idea what most of his words are!
*He says mama, dada, wawa (water), baba (bottle), uppp (the P is very pronounced and up also means down!), hi, a slur of "I want that" and "open it", truck, whee (when he's swinging), no no, and ball.
*He has just recently turned into a big mama's boy and I love it!
*He loves to give kisses and hugs. He walks up to me now and wraps his arms around my legs and gives me a big hug!
*He loves to be doing anything outside. His new favorite is to sit in our lap in the front seat of our car and honk the horn and push all the buttons!
*He is still a very picky eater and pretty much only eats fruit, yogurt and cheese.
*He no longer takes a paci (by his own doing), but loves his blankie and most have it tucked next to his head when he's falling asleep.
* He rubs the corners of his blanket while he's falling asleep (Erik did the same thing when he was a baby!)
*He holds his hands up like what happened and says "hap??"

Here is our sweet boy at 16 months!

His little expressions crack me up! He is totally saying "are you serious Mom??"

I finally get him to smile, and I over exposed the picture!

Thanksgiving

Somehow I did not take any pictures on Thanksgiving Day except for one picture of us at the 5k Turkey Trot! We actually had a very nice Thanksgiving with Erik's parents and his sister's family, but no pictures to show! We woke up Thanksgiving morning and headed out to do a 5k in Roseville! It was a lot of fun and hopefully a new family tradition! We finished the race in 30 minutes and Erik and I both finished 18th in our age group! We weren't trying to be competitive just wanted to go for a fun run, but we still had to check online to see how we finished (:

Here's Team Olson before the race!

We had beautiful weather on Thanksgiving weekend so I did pull the camera out and catch a few shots of Ford helping Grandpa and Grandma rake some leaves!

This is a signature Ford move whipping the leaves backward with both arms! Only he usually uses this move at home while pulling everything out of the cabinets or the hamper! We affectionately call him "Hurricane Ford"!

He can pretty much do no wrong in his Grandpa's eyes!

So big!

We recently got Ford a bicycle helmet and I thought for sure he would not want to wear it! I was wrong, he loves it! He likes to wear it around the house, and brings it to me so I can put it on for him! Erik's parents gave us a Burley trailer for the back of our bikes (thanks Grandma and Grandpa :), and Ford loves to ride in his "chariot" with his new helmet! Erik recently surprised me with a mountain bike so now we love to go on family bike rides!

Here he is all ready to go with his other new favorite his "blankie"!

He looks so big to me in these pics!

He takes biking very seriously!

All ready to go!
