First Steps!

Ford decided today was the day that he was going to take his first steps all by himself! Erik and I were watching football and all of a sudden Ford just stood up and started walking! They were very wobbly steps, but later on he did it again!!! I took the shortest video ever because I couldn't believe I was actually capturing it, but at least I got it! We are so proud of you Ford!!

Best Buddies!

Ford loves his doggie so much, and Cooper is starting to love him too! He calls him "Goopy" and is always looking out the window for him! Cooper is so gentle with Ford and lets him pull his ears, poke his eyes, pull his tail and crawl all over him. He even lets Ford play with his very favorite ball! When Cooper is inside he's only allowed to be on his bed, so if Cooper is inside on his bed that's where Ford is too!

Don't worry it's just a yawn! Cooper is a nervous yawner anytime he feels nervous or uncomfortable he yawns!!!

Again with the yawning!

Somehow they are both making the same face!

"Goopy, come here I need to tell you a secret!"

"I wasn't finished come back!"

Happy Birthday Sommer!

Sweet Sommy turned 1 on September 22nd and we were lucky enough to celebrate with her!! It's fun to already see at such a young age how much Sommer and Ford like each other, and how well they play together! Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day! We love you Sommy!

Sweet Friends!

Sommer making sure Ford remembers it is her party!!!

Love these two girls!

Ford and Annike getting in on the action! They opened up one present that was a dress and Ford grabbed it and threw it! He's already figured out that clothes are lame presents to a kid!

I am 14 months!

Our sweet baby is really turning into a little boy way too fast! He brings us so much happiness and so much laughter!!! Ford is such a funny kid that Erik and I always say we can't wait until he starts talking because he is going to be hilarious! Here are some facts about Ford at 14 months!

* He is still not walking on his own, but if Erik and I make him walk he will take a few steps ( and when I say "make" him walk I really mean it because it usually ends in tears or a tantrum!)
*He will walk if he's pushing his bike or firetruck, and sometimes his highchair!
*He is into EVERYTHING!! He as figured out how to open cabinets and drawers and then precedes to pull everything out as fast as he can!!
*He is very tall!! When we go to the park he's as tall as the two year olds!
*He is such a happy, funny and silly boy! He loves to smile and loves to laugh!
*He is super friendly and loves people!
*He loves to wave to people and give out big smiles!
*He loves music and loves to dance!
*He loves Cooper and loves to get on his bed with him! When he says his name it sounds like "Goopy"
*He loves to go to the beach and roll around in the sand. Cooper loves to dig holes at the beach and Ford loves to crawl into them!
*He loves to look at books and for me to read him books!
*His favorite toys are trucks and balls! He even makes truck noises! Such a boy!
*He loves the park especially the swings, and he yells "wheeee!"
*He is obsessed with pushing buttons, light switches, and pulling up our shirts and sticking his finger in our belly buttons!
*He is always talking somethings we understand, but most of it is his own language!
*He likes to say "whoa whoa whoa!"
*He signs "more", "all done", "eat/hungry", "water/ thirsty", and "help".
*He loves girls (especially pretty girls), and loves to smile at them and wave at them! Already a flirt!
*He's a mama's boy, but loves his daddy!
*He loves to give wet open mouthed kisses, and when you ask for a hug he lays his head on your shoulder....he melts his mama's heart!
*He is very strong willed and lets you know when he's not happy about whats going on (see pics below!!)
*He thinks he can do a somersault! He gets up on all fours and tucks his head down. Erik and I cheer and clap for him and he is so proud of himself! I will post some video of it soon it's hilarious!
*He has become a very picky eater and will only eat yogurt, cheese, fruit and sometimes he will eat crackers.
*I let him have an Oreo cookie the other day and I have now created a cookie monster!!! He points to the pantry and signs "more" which means give me some cookies! Erik and I have to spell out cookies because if he hears it he goes crazy!

Here is our little boy at 14 months! We love you Ford until our hearts hurt!

This smile already gets him out of a lot of trouble!

He is getting so tall! Look at those long legs!

I love this one! This totally captures his personality!

How quickly things can change when he's done taking pictures!

Oh the drama!!!!

The throwing the head backward is new!!! Where do they learn this stuff!

Getting close!!!

Ford hasn't decided yet that he's ready to walk, but he's getting very close! I think he could do it if he wanted to, but true to his personality he wants to do it on his own time! So we will wait with the camera ready to capture the moment! Here he is cruising along with his bike doubling as a walker!

*Please excuse our disaster of a yard captured in this video :)

Tahoe with the Piini's

We spent last weekend at the cabin with the Piini's and had so much fun!!! We went swimming, rode the waverunner on the lake, and did lots of hanging out at the cabin! We had great weather and the kids had a blast! Although the pictures don't show it Greg and I were on the trip too!!!

Ford is a very cautious little boy and was not really into swimming on this trip, but he did borrow Jameson's floaty and took it for a spin!

Erik took Ford out on the waverunner for the first time on this trip too! I was a bit nervous, but to my surprise he loved it!

....and they're off!

Hanging out at the beach!
Jameson was a total water baby and thought that he could swim!!

Sweet Aimee

Almost everyone enjoyed the pool on this day :)

Our attempt to "cage" the children!

It's the simple things!

We buy our kids all these toys that light up and make sounds, but sometimes a dripping hose or an empty box make the best toys!!!

Hmmm, I'm a little thirsty now that I think about it!

This might just be my favorite picture I've ever taken of him!!!

 Thirsty....again!
