More Firsts!

It's amazing how much Ford has changed in the past few months, and all the new things he is doing!! His little personality has just exploded and he is a little wild man. Here are some of his newest firsts!

He is eating teething crackers and getting really good at holding them in his hand and gumming them! It makes a huge mess, but he loves them!

Here he is just being a ham for the camera!

He cut his first tooth on March 15th and it's the cutest little tooth!!!

I bought him a sippy cup with a straw and he taught himself how to drink out of the straw and hold it at the same time! We are so proud of you sweet boy!

Sometimes he likes to just chew on the straw!

Great Grandma O!

Grandma Olson came out to California from Chicago to visit Erik's family, and they drove down so Great Grandma O could meet Ford!! We had such a nice visit, and it was so special for Ford to meet his Great Grandma!

Nana! Nana! Nana!

My Mom came to visit us for a week and we had so much fun! Ford just loved his Nana and we were so sad when she had to go home. Ford bonded with my Mom so fast, and he thought she was so funny! It was such a special week for both Ford and me! We miss you Nana and can't wait until you come visit us again!

Ford's Dedication

On Sunday March 11 Erik and I dedicated Ford in front of our church. It was a very special day and Ford did great! We publicly committed to raise Ford in the ways of Jesus and committed to actively role model what it looks like to follow Jesus. Most importantly we recognize that Ford ultimately belongs to God and He has given us the privilege to raise this sweet little boy!

Deuteronomy 6:5-9
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Sweet Sommer was also dedicated on Sunday and Ashley and I had planned a lunch to celebrated Ford and Sommers dedications, but ufortunately I ended up coming down with a stomach bug and we all missed the party :( Thanks for hosting Ashley we are so sad we missed it.

Newest Trick!!

For the past week or so I've been trying to teach Ford how to clap, wave hi and to give kisses. So far we have only mastered clapping and I was able to capture him on video! It is so fun to teach him something and see him learning! I am so proud of my sweet boy!

Dress Rehearsal

We are doing a baby dedication at our church on Sunday, and I wanted to take some pictures of Ford in his new outfit before Sunday because I know it will be a busy day! I didn't have the settings right on my camera so most of the pictures color and lighting didn't come out very good (and my subject was not very cooperative), but the weird lighting made for great black and whites! I can't believe how big he looks in these pictures!

Giggles!

I never get tired of hearing these sweet and a little crazy giggles coming from my little wild man!!! Ford never stops wiggling and at times is very hyper!!! He was laughing/screaming at me while his hands and feet were in hyper wiggle mode!!! He is a funny kid!
