Where did it go?

It's amazing how fast you forget about what your baby looked like when they were born! I was looking at pictures of Ford when he was born, and I had totally forgotten how much hair he had. I can remember when I was delivering him the doctor saying "oh my look at all that hair", and I was thinking really he has a lot of hair! Erik and I were both bald babies so I just thought I would have a bald baby too. In due time he would lose all that hair! Now that he is pretty much totally bald I was looking at these pictures and wondering where did all of his hair go!!! Here is my sweet boy just a week old with lots of brown hair.

At two weeks a head full of hair!
And now at four months he has lost all his brown hair and has blond chicken fuzz coming in!

I am 4 months old today!!!!

We can't believe that our sweet little boy is 4 months old! In some ways it has gone by fast, and other ways it has gone by very slow. He is changing every day and it seems like he is learning something new everyday. Ford has lots of personality and a very sweet disposition. Here are some facts about Ford at 4 months!

*He weighs 14 lbs and 1/2 oz (25th percentile), 24 3/4 inches long (25th percentile), and head circumference 16 3/4 inches (75th percentile)
*Yes that's 75th percentile in head circumference lots of room for his big brain!!!!
*He can roll over from his stomach to his back.
*He loves to use his hands! He likes to chew on them, grab his toys with them and sometimes he stares at them just a little cross eyed!!!
*He still loves to take baths!
*He takes a bottle in the morning and before bed and nurses 3 times a day
*He sleeps from around 7-7:30 pm until 7 am!!!! Yes, almost 12 hours every night!
*He takes 3 naps a day for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
*He is a very happy baby and loves to smile!
*He also loves to scream sometimes when he is excited and sometimes when he is mad (the angry screaming makes me a little nervous!)
*He still spits up A LOT which means I do laundry A LOT!!!!!
*He loves when I sing to him even if I have a terrible singing voice!

This sweet little boy has completely captured our hearts!!!

Erik and I call this his Shooter smile (my niece and nephew call my Dad Shooter :) because he looks a lot like my Dad when he smiles this crooked little smile!!!

He had to get two shots today and was still a happy baby!!!

We love you so much Ford and can't wait to see what you will do next!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We have so much to be thankful for this year! Our sweet little boy is happy and healthy, and he gives us both so much joy. We have a beautiful home that we love, and Erik and I have each other! I am overwhelmed with the blessings in my life and am grateful to God for giving us this sweet little life! We had a very fun and relaxing Thanksgiving this year with Erik's parents. We made Turkey and all the fixings at our house, and Ford got to spend his very first Thanksgiving with his Grandma and Grandpa!!!

I love this picture! Erik's in his traditional Thanksgiving sweater (not sure how many years in a row he has worn it), and Ford already trying to stand up!!!

We took a walk on the beach that evening to walk off some of that Turkey!

I wore Grandpa's jacket and zipped Ford up to keep him warm.

I can roll over!!!

On Monday November 14th Ford rolled over for the first time! Of course we didn't get the first one on video, but we were able to get the second, third, forth....!!!! We are so proud of our sweet little boy!!! It is so much fun watching him learn and grow!!!

He was really proud of himself after he rolled over! I just can't get enough of his sweet smiles!

It seems like everyday he is changing and learning something new, and it seems like everyday I fall more in love with this sweet little boy! He has such a sweet disposition about him and just loves to smile!

He has lost almost all of his hair, but there is very blond hair slowly coming in!

The look on his face cracks me up!

Jumpy Jump

We had a very lazy Sunday today! We were so busy on Saturday that we decided to skip church and stay home in our pj's instead! We set up Ford's jumper for him and let him try it out. He hasn't quite caught on just yet, but he never stops wiggling and kicking his legs so I am sure he will get the hang of it really soon!

He did more lounging then jumping!
